The Linlithgow 10K and Junior Fun Run is a prestigious and long running community road running event organised by Linlithgow Athletics Club. Each year around 40% of competitors are from the local area. The event raises a modest amount of money that is used to help fund the work the club does in promoting and providing opportunities for Athletics in our community. No individuals within our organisation gain financially from the event in any way.
Note that due to course restrictions only the first 800 entries will be accepted.
Please note that entries are non-refundable and not transferable.
Runners who anticipate finishing after 1 hour and 15 minutes should be aware that there will be a 'sweeper' vehicle travelling at around this pace to indicate the opening of the road to traffic. After the vehicle passes runners can of course continue to complete the course exercising caution and proceeding as a prudent and careful pedestrian.

ASSEMBLY AND MUSTER
All competitors should be assembled at The Cross, by 2:10pm. There will be signs on the day to direct the runners towards this. Following the pre-race briefing, runners will be led to the start area. Please be aware that these arrangements differ from last year. Please follow start instructions given by officials. There are no changing and showering facilities available, so make sure that you know where or with whom you leave your belongings. The race will start at 2:30pm by the sound of a klaxon.
Linlithgow is a fairly hilly town, and the route is undulating and quite challenging. It is advisable to study the route plan and if possible familiarise yourself with the terrain. The route narrows behind the loch, and this makes overtaking difficult during this part of the race, which is around the halfway point. Please obey the signals and directions given by route stewards – for safety reasons please do not wear headphones.
All distance markers for the race will be shown in kilometres.
10 kilometres is approximately 6.2 miles
Linlithgow Athletic Club is extremely grateful for the support of the following organisations: -
Sainbury's; Express Microbiology; Tunnocks; Oracle; Life Fit Physiotherapy.
The event is held under licence from Scottish Athletics.
