Linlithgow runner and cyclist Angus Gallie combined both running and cycling

to compete for Great Britain last month. The event was the World’s Duathlon Championships held in the town of Gijon, Northern Spain. Angus came fifth in his age group, missing out on a bronze medal by just 17 seconds!

Angus, 55, is a member of both Linlithgow Athletic Club and West Lothian Clarion Cycling Club. “I have competed in both sports over a number of years and it’s only in the last two years that I decided to try the run/cycle/run multi-sport event - needless to say I was delighted to qualify for the GB team earlier in the year!”

I was extremely grateful for the support given to me by both clubs. The clubs are well established in the Linlithgow area and both make an immense contribution to the development of our future athletes and cyclists through their commitment to schoolchildren and youth development.
