The Pentlands 7 Reservoirs multi-terrain half marathon took place on Sunday 1 December. This scenic tour around the Pentland Hills started at the Threipmuir reservoir and the challenging route took in the Loganlea, Glencorse, Bonaly, Torduff, Clubbiedean and Harlow reservoirs, before finishing back at Threipmuir reservoir. The dry sunny weather meant that conditions underfoot were good, with clear views across central Scotland. But there were still mud and water challenges, as well as tough uphill and downhill sections to contend with. Representing Linlithgow AC, Scott Hyslop finished in around 1 hour 45 mins, and Gerry McArdle finished in around 1 hour 50.
Earlier in the weekend, Andrew Fischbacher finished first at Falkirk parkrun with a new PB of 17:09. Also setting PBs over the 5K distance, Hilary Stocks was 43rd (7th F) in a time of 22:38, and at Edinburgh parkrun Darren Dick was 90th with a PB of 21:28
